Who Are We?
Lily and Shelly found Mind Your Money together, and they’ve been friends for years. As friends, they’ve been talking about their goals for years, like dream schools, future jobs, and ways to help our families. But they realized that even though money is part of everyday life, no one ever really explained it to them in a way that felt clear and easy to understand when they were young.
So, Lily and Shelly decided to write Don’t Make Your Money Cry during the summer when they were both rising seniors. Their idea for this book is to apply what they’ve learned about earning, saving, spending, and simple bank services in several stories and ideas that middle school students can actually use.
Our Mission
At Mind Your Money, our mission is to help young people, especially middle schoolers, build the knowledge, confidence, and habits they need to manage money wisely. We believe financial education should be simple, practical, and accessible — not overwhelming or confusing.
Through clear lessons, real-life MCQs, and creative activities, we guide students to understand the basics of earning, saving, spending, and the banking system. Our goal is to give every learner the skills to make smart choices today and the confidence to shape their financial future tomorrow.
We see money not just as numbers, but as a tool for independence, opportunity, and impact. By empowering the next generation to “mind their money,” we’re helping them grow into thoughtful, capable decision-makers in life.
